This was a very short fight, and neither fighters really had the opportunity to showcase their skill. Higgins has a Freestyle Karate background and trains in BJJ, whereas Pasco has a true MMA background. They both had similar records coming into this fight.

Higgins lived up to his name and immediately began mixing it up with strikes, that Pasco answered well, landing some good uppercuts. Higgins level changed and shot in for the takedown, but Pasco’s defence was very good and he held Higgins up with his back against the cage. It was a common theme of the fighters at the events to pummel under the head for a solid guillotine attempt and we had seen it several times earlier that night. Pasco did it very well, and locked his other hand into the grip and pulled guard to finish a perfectly executed guillotine. Higgins had left a little too much space against the cage to allow the hands to link.

From the pre-fight interviews I think that both fighters will be back soon, and I look forward to seeing more of what they can do!
